AVIVA COMMUNITY FUND BACK FOR ANOTHER YEAR

The Aviva Community Fund program is back for another year, and submissions are now being accepted. The 8th annual Aviva Community Fund program has two funding levels, small ideas which could be awarded up to $50,000 and large ideas which could be awarded $50-100,000.

HURON FOOD BANK PARTNERS WITH UNITED WAY

The United Way has been supporting the Huron County Food Banks program called Neighbours Helping Neighbours for several years now. With fall and Thanksgiving coming up, many foodbanks have trouble keeping up stock, but anticipate more will come rolling in shortly.

POPPY DISPLAY IN GODERICH

Remembrance Day is still over a month away but a local group in Goderich is planning ahead with a heartfelt display. On Thursday the group installed 551 poppies which represent all of the lives lost from the 161 batallion in Huron County during World War One.

HAWKS VS AYLMER IN EXETER

It's sure to be another exciting game as the Exeter Hawks take on the Aylmer Spitfires tonight at home. Week one held some good hockey at the South Huron Rec Centre where the Hawks came out with a win 4-2 at their home opener.
