The 2nd annual HuronSound Festival takes place Saturday (today) in the MacNaughton Scenic Gardens from 2 PM until 11 PM. The day long event features close to 20 artisans showcasing their work, a beer garden, games including archery, yoga in the park, children's events, and something for everyone.

The Huron County Health Unit has issued no-swim advisories at two local beaches. The reason is based on the number of E. coli colonies in the water, and due to environmental factors. Goderich Main and Goderich St.

HOMETOWN HEROES A BIG SUCCESS

Thursday night was the 4th annual Hometown Heroes: Raise a Little Health hockey game, which was held at the Maitland Rec Centre in Goderich. Huron-Bruce MP Ben Lobb organizes the charity event and says this year was another huge success. Each team was lead by an NHL superstar.

HEALTH UNIT WARNS ABOUT LYME DISEASE

Lyme disease is caused by the bite of an infected black-legged tick. But according to Public Health Inspector with the Huron County Health Unit, Mike Park the tick must be attached and feeding for at least 24 hours before transmitting the bacteria.

POLICE RESPOND TO TWO INCIDENTS IN NORTH MIDDLESEX

Middlesex County Provincial Police was kept busy on Wednesday as they responded to two separate calls in the Neil Road area of North Middlesex throughout the day. The first call was around 6 AM and it was a report of a suspicious man. Police searched the area but could not locate the man.
