Will NRStor's planned Goderich energy project get off the ground? The firm wants to convert surplus electricity to compressed air, store it underground until needed, then restore it to the grid through a flywheel operation. NRStor's plan to construct their facility in an abandon salt cavern adjacent to Trinity Reformed Christian Church was carefully deconstructed by Doctor Stan Spacek in a 30 minute deputation to Goderich Council's April 3rd meeting. Mayor Kevin Morrison says while he's keeping an open mind, really the Town's hands are tied.

Spacek finds it odd that ONLY this project under the Green Energy Act was not canceled by the Minister, along with all of the other pending approvals last fall.
