MP BEN LOBB SPEAKS ABOUT RONA AMBROSE RETIREMENT

Rona Ambrose, the Member of Parliament for the Edmonton-area constituency of Sturgeon River-Parkland is stepping down after thirteen years in the House of Commons. For the past eighteen months, Ambrose has served as Interim Leader of the Conservative Party of Canada. Huron-Bruce MP Ben Lobb says Rona Ambrose was the best prescription for his party following the retirement of former Prime Minister Stephen Harper.

Lobb says Ambrose' decision to step down as an MP comes at an opportune moment for the Tories. Conservatives select their new leader in a membership referendum May 27th.
