BIKE TO END HUNGER TAKES PLACE THIS WEEKEND

Coming up on Saturday, June 17th is the 2nd annual Bike Ride To End Hunger which is being put on by the Huron County Food Bank Distribution Centre.There are various distances for riders including 10 KM, 40 KM, 50KM, and 100 KM and families are able to go just a few kilometers if they want, and a barbecue will follow the ride. Registration for the ride begins at 8 AM with the ride starting at 9 AM and the event takes place at the Distribution Centre located at Premium Transport at 39978 Crediton Road. Marketing and Fundraising person with the Huron County Food Bank Distribution Centre Pauline Overholt-Tait says that the fundraiser raises funds for all of Huron County.

   
Overholt-Tait says there are a staggering amount of families in need in Huron County and the Distribution Centre is in critical need of financial support as they need to raise $7000 overall to maintain the level of service.The cost to participate in the ride is $35.
