The Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority is hosting another Shoreline Management open house on Saturday, June 17th. The open house is a part of the ABCA's 2015 to 2018 update of the Shoreline Management Plan which has been in effect since 2000. Supervisor of Water and Planning at the ABCA, Geoff Cade tells myFM News the ABCA decided to update the plan for a couple of reasons.

The Shoreline Management Plan identifies shoreline hazards for flooding, erosion, and dynamic beaches, and their impact on shoreline development. The open house takes place at the Legacy Recreation Centre Hall in Thedford located at 16 Allen Street, and runs from 9 AM until noon, with presentations beginning at 10:30 AM.
