POLICE SEIZE DRUGS AND WEAPONS AMONG OTHER THINGS DURING SEARCH WARRANT

Two Central Huron residents are facing a plethora of charges following a search warrant that took place on June 13th. The OPP Community Street Crime Unit, West Region Emergency Response Team, the West Region Canine and Huron County OPP executed the warrant at a Summerhill Road property in Central Huron.
Police seized methamphetamine, Oxycodone, marijuana, and marijuana resin.Two counterfeit $20 Canadian bills and stolen property including an enclosed utility trailer, a license plate, and a street sign were also seized.Police also got two rifles, a sawed-off shotgun, and ammunition off the streets.
35-year-old Derek Hunt and 35-year-old Tracy Lacroix have each been charged with drug possession, possession of an unauthorized firearm, possession of a prohibited weapon with ammunition, possession of stolen property, possession of counterfeit currency, among other charges. A police release says that Lacroix has been released from custody, but Hunt still remains in custody. Anyone with any information is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
