Environment Canada has confirmed that a tornado did, in fact, occur north of Lucan on Wednesday night. As myFM previously reported Engineers from Western University did an investigation and have concluded that based on a damage survey that the tornado was an Enhanced Fujita Scale 0 tornado with peak winds of 130 km/h. The length of the damage path was 5 km and the maximum width was 170 metres and was strong enough to uproot some trees and over turn some trailers on a farm property. The weather agency started receiving pictures, and videos Wednesday night but anyone who experienced notable damage, spotted funnel clouds or a tornado is asked to contact the weather agency at ec.cpio-tempetes-ospc-storms.ec@canada.ca
