It may be a first for Dungannon, but this ain't the competitors first rodeo. Organizer Kayla Bishop says that the inaugural Dungannon Pro Rodeo has been organized by volunteer enthusiasts and proceeds from the event go to Jessica's House in Exeter.

Gates open at Noon both days at the Dungannon Fairgrounds. Admission is $15 in advance, or $20 at the gate. Kids from 6-12 are $8 advance, and $10 day of. Children under 5 get in for free. Advance Tickets are still available at the Cowboy Loft in Brussels and Thompsons Limited's Port Albert Branch. 'The Little Wrangler Program' kicks off entertainment at 3:30PM Saturday, and 1PM Sunday. It'll teach your kids the basics of being a cowpoke and allow them to feel like they're really part of the festivities. Rodeo action is at 5PM Saturday July 15th and 2PM Sunday July 16th. Competitors will be coming from Mexico, Australia, and Brazil, The U-S-A, and Canada. They travel weekend to weekend where they have the chance to score points for their international ranking and win cash prizes.
