Had they fallen it could have been fatal, that's a quote from Ontario Provincial Police Constable Ed Barty, following a call on Canada Day. Huron County OPP officers and fire crews from Hensall and Exeter had to assist in a rescue at the Hensall water tower Officers received a call around 10:30 from a concerned citizen who witnessed youth up on the water town laughing and setting off fireworks. Alarmingly three men in their 20s gained access into the fenced in water tower and climbed about 200 feet to the observation deck, where they drank alcohol and let off fireworks while trying to see the Grand Bend fireworks. Against police orders, two of the men climbed down the ladder, while the third was safely lowered by the fire rescue team. Two Huron County men and a Perth County man are now facing trespassing charges.
