Huron County Provincial Police say that the Clinton Raceway was broken into twice this week. The first incident took place during the early morning hours of Tuesday, August 8th when a suspect or suspects forced entry into the grandstand through an exterior window, and once inside police say they located empty beer cans and dumped them into garbage bags. Police say a total of 71 cases of empties were stolen along with six forty ounce liquor bottles. The bandits would strike the next night, once again through the grandstand, but this time liquor was the target. 10 cases of beer, and 20 forty ounce bottles of liquor and a case of coolers were stolen. Police say that the thefts of the alcohol and empties are valued at about $2000. Anyone with any information is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
