$52,000 WORTH OF DRUGS TAKEN OFF THE STREET

A joint effort from the Ontario Provincial Police Community Street Crime Units in Huron-Perth, Grey Bruce, and the Stratford Police Service-Street Crime Unit got a bunch of drugs off the streets and made four arrests along the way.

Police say on November 28th a traffic stop took place in the Township of Perth East, which resulted in the seizure of methamphetamine and marijuana.
   
Due to the traffic stop, 43-year-old David Sullivan of Stratford is facing charges of possession of methamphetamines for the purpose of trafficking, other drug charges, and weapons charges.

And 43-year-old Christina Bailey also from Stratford is facing charges for possession of methamphetamines for the purpose of trafficking, and another drug charge.

On the same day teams executed a search warrant at a property on Maple Keys Line in Huron East, and during the warrant, methamphetamine, marijuana, and cannabis resin were seized.

Two Huron East people, 31-year-old Joseph Lindsay and 28-year-old Tasia Weickert are both facing charges for possession of methamphetamine and marijuana for the purpose of trafficking and other trafficking charges related to the cannabis resin.

Police say the combined street value of the seizures was 52 thousand dollars.
