CYCLING INITIIVE SEES HURON EAST GET FUNDING

120 Municipalities are receiving funding from the Ontario government for new bike lanes and other cycling infrastructure. Originally the funding was going to be $42.5 million but that has since increased to $93 million. Locally the Municipality of Huron East will be receiving $25 thousand of the funding for initiatives. The investments are apart from Ontario's Climate Change Action Plan and is funded from the province's cap on pollution and carbon market.
