The Huron County Ontario Provincial Police lead the West Region with 234 RIDE programs during the annual OPP Festive RIDE campaign. The campaign which lasted from November 24th to January 2nd saw four drivers in Huron County charged with impaired driving.One other driver faced a warn range suspension and had their licenses suspended for having a blood alcohol concentration between .05 and .08. In total, the OPP reports that 587 drivers were charged with impaired driving while another 366 face warn range suspensions. Police are urging everyone to call 9-1-1 if you suspect that someone is impaired by drugs or alcohol as you could be saving a life.
