The Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority has issued a flood outlook and water safety message. With warm temperatures for today into early Friday morning, and rain in the forecast before dropping below zero, the ABCA is warning that watercourses will rise overnight. The warm temperature and the rainfall could result in high stream flows in area rivers and streams but it is expected that the largest rivers will not peak until late Friday or Saturday.
Flooding looks to be isolated to low-lying areas and some local roads. Everyone is reminded to use caution near all watercourses.
The message will be in effect until at least Monday, January 15th.
