Lock it or lose it that remains the message from Huron County Provincial Police following another opportunistic theft in Huron Park. On February 2, the OPP went to a St. Lawrence Avenue property to investigate a theft from an unlocked vehicle. The owner reported that he woke up in the morning and noticed footprints around his pickup, and then he checked his truck and realized that someone had stolen two custom-made fly fishing rods. The rods are valued at $1500 each, and one was burgundy in colour and the other was grey. Oakley sunglasses valued $300 were also stolen in the theft. Vehicle owners are reminded to always secure your vehicle, remove keys from the ignition, remove any valuables, and report suspicious activity to police.
