Your Exeter Hawks won 1 of 2 games in PJHL weekend action. The Hawks couldn't keep up and dropped their first of two weekend matches against the Port Stanley Sailors 5-3 on Saturday.

They had better luck on Sunday when they hosted the Sailors at home, finishing 5 points ahead for a 6-1 final. The Hawks play the Sailors again on Tuesday the 13th.

Elsewhere in Provincial Junior Hockey, the North Middlesex Stars made quick work of the Thamesford Trojans on Saturday, finishing the game 7-3 in favour of the Stars.

North Middlesex was able to seize the home-ice advantage when the Trojans played the Stars at the North Middlesex Arena on Sunday as well.

The Trojans had the lead after 40 minutes of play, but the Stars came back to score two goals in the third for a 5-4 win over the Trojans after it was all said and done. The Stars play one more game on Valentines day, Wednesday the 14th.

In GOJHL action, the last place St.Mary's Lincolns couldn't keep up with the Strathroy Rockets on Friday, dropping the match 3-2 in Overtime, or the St. Thomas Stars on Sunday, losing 5-1. The Lincolns next game is in Sarnia on Thursday the 15th.

The Stratford Warriors had a great weekend, winning both of their scheduled matches. The Warriors stood their ground in a Friday home game and resisted a raid from the Brantford 99ers, winning the match 6-2.

Their stroke of luck continued on Sunday when they bested the Emira Sugar Kings in an away game, doubling the Sugar Kings 4-2. The Warriors are back on the ice hosting Brantford again on Friday the 16th

And last but not least, the Listowel Cyclones postponed their Friday night game at the Steve Kerr Memorial Arena against the Brampton Bombers with no make-up date set.

That may have spared the Brampton Bombers a second loss at the hands of the Cyclones. The two teams managed to play their scheduled game in Brampton on Sunday, with the Cyclones leading the bombers 4-1. The Cyclones next game is also Friday the 16th hosting the Elmira Sugar Kings.
