ONTARIO DENTAL ASSOCIATION SAYS SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE ABOUT DENTAL-CARE GAP
2/12/2018 10:30:27 AM

The Ontario Dental Association (ODA) has launched an awareness campaign to inform Ontarians about the funding gap in public dental care.

According to the ODA low-income kids are at a serious threat, claiming that close to 300,000 children are in need of dental care who aren't recieving it.

President of the ODA, Dr. Lou-Anne Visconti, feels the timing of the campaign comes at an appropriate time.

The ODA is urging the provincial government to do more, currently Ontario's dentists are treating about 200,000 kids under the Healthy Smiles Ontario program.
