The Municipality of Bluewater and Nextera energy company have reached a deal regarding contributions to be made into the municipal vibrabcy fund. Mayor of Bluewater Tyler Hessel says that council isn't completely satisfied with the deal, but they would rather have a deal they wasn't the greatest rather than no deal at all.
Council ultimately accepted a deal that they considered to be less than ideal. The contract saw the amount of money that was put into the vibrancy fund reduced from $3500 to $2500 per kilowatt generated. The contract also had a clause that allows Nextera to void the contract 15 days after signing. Council will ratify the contract at their next meeting on March 19th
