DAYLIGHT SAVINGS THIS WEEKEND
3/9/2018 11:22:01 AM
Don't forget to turn your clocks ahead this weekend, as daylight time kicks in Sunday.
At 2am, Sunday, March 11th, clocks spring forward by one hour. It means you'll lose an hour of your weekend, but you'll gain that back come fall when clocks are turned back an hour.
Daylight time is adhered to in more than 70 countries.
Local fire departments are also asking residents to use the time change as a reminder to change the batteries in their smoke and carbon monoxide alarms.
Fire officials traditionally use the dates associated with the start and end of daylight time so it's easy to remember.
