The trial of 73-year-old Boris Panovski is underway, following the jury being fully selected Monday. Panovski is facing charges of first-degree murder and attempted murder in the shooting death of Don Frigo and the wounding of his wife back in 2014 at the Hullet Marsh. The Crown Attorney, Teresa Donnelly, started the trial with an opening statement that suggested that Panovski held a long-term hatred of Frigo, and blamed him for his life heading downhill. The London Free Press is reporting that Frigo's wife Eva will be testifying at the trial with the help of an emotional therapy dog. The first witness called was OPP Constable Patrick Armstrong, who was the first officer to respond to the scene, and he described in detail what he say when he arrived. myFM will continue to follow the trial.
