NO LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL FOR STRIKING MINE WORKERS

    There's no light at the end of the tunnel for Compass Minerals workers. It's been 6 years since the last strike at the mine and the 350 workers are now in their third week. The Unifor 16-O president is expecting talks to go into late June or early July as workers dispute issues surrounding benefits and mandatory overtime. The salt mine is the largest of it's kind in the world with the main product being road salt.
