Hot weather can lead to some serious side effects. Last week was a clear example of that. Temperatures above 40 degrees with the humidex meant that some people needed to call 911 because the heat was too much for them Jeff Horseman, Chief of Emergency Services for the County, says emergency services don't treat calls about heat exhaustion as a laughing matter.

Horseman adds despite the abnormally high temperatures, Huron County EMS did not recieve any excess calls about the heat than they expected. He recommends that during this hot summer, everyone needs to stay hydrated, stay cool, and be safe.
