Unionized workers at Bruce Power could soon be in a position to walk off the job.
Despite having a provincially appointed conciliator during the negotiations, talks between Bruce Power and the Society of United Professionals appear to be at a stand still.
Vice President of the Bruce Power Local Mike Gade says there are still a number of issues that need to be resolved with only a couple of days left with the conciliator.
If there is no agreement, over 1,200 Bruce Power employees will be in a strike or lockout position 17 days after the conciliator issues a no-board report.
Bruce Power released a statement saying they are still committed to an open-dialogue and hopes to reach an agreement soon.
