Work will soon get underway to install a new boardwalk along the Goderich waterfront.
Council finalized the proposal at their meeting last Monday which would see a majority of the boardwalk be made of wood with a small portion consisting of concrete.
Mayor John Grace says he expects work to begin at the far end on Rotary Cove in the next couple of weeks.
He says the Town is still has to clean up the debris caused by last week’s storm.
The cost of the boardwalk will be around $900,000.
Grace says there will be some allowances in this year’s budget and in the 2020 budget to accommodate the construction.
