The Exeter Legion is celebrating 90 years in 2020, a big mark that president Jon Corbett says is a testament to the community support in the area.
Clinton’s branch hit 90 years last year as well.
Entering his sixth year as legion president, Corbett says he’s had lots of fun and memories in his over 20 years as part of Branch 167.
And the community is doing something to commemorate 90 years, from a distance.
There will also be a reading of Flanders Field and a moment of silence to remember the fallen, and the victims of the recent mass shooting in Nova Scotia, beginning at 6:30 p.m tonight (May 21) in front of the Legion.
Corbett says if and when they’ll have a community celebration when Legion re-opens to the public.
