Local municipalities are having to adapt to new Ontario lockdowns which are slated to begin on Boxing Day.
Many area municipalities are suspending in person visits to town halls.
Community centres and arenas will also be closed as of 12:01 AM on Boxing Day.
Good news as garbage and recycling will continue.
In South Huron, in-person town hall service is suspended.
South Huron will provide in person building services online, except for new builds, and non-essential fire inspections will be suspended.
Landfill services will continue with COVID-19 protocols in places, and curbside pickup will continue.
As for arenas and facilities, all services at the South Huron Rec Centre and Stephen Township Arena, and facilities rentals at community halls will be suspended.
In Bluewater: Community Centres, Halls and Arenas will be closed until further notice as of December 24th 2020 at 4 pm.
Leading up to the closure, holiday skating times will be split into two slots, where possible, to allow for more opportunities for participants.
In Lambton Shores: all arenas and community centres will also be closed during the lockdown.
