Almost $4-million is going towards 6 projects in the Huron-Bruce area thanks to funding from the province.
Huron Bruce MPP Lisa Thompson says 30 projects across Ontario will receive a portion of the grants from the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program.
Locally the money will be disbursed to the Bruce County Museum in Saugeen Shores, a new accessible washroom and equipment storage shed will be built in Brockton, and the North Huron Wescast Community Complex in North Huron will be rehabilitated.
In South Bruce, work will continue on the Mildmay Carrick recreation complex as well as the Teeswater-Culross Community Centre and in Kincardine a trail will be built from Kincardine to Inverhuron Provincial Park.
Priority has been given to projects that are community oriented, non commercial and open to the public.
The Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program is a 10 year $30 billion federal, provincial and municipal program.
