The mother of the man accused of running down a family in London, killing four members of the family and leaving one young boy in hospital has given her statement, via e-mail to CTV news.
Alysia Bisset, Nathaniel Veltman’s mother wrote in her e-mailed statement to CTV News Toronto, “I am deeply grieved by the heinous crime that was committed this last weekend.”
“I am praying for the victims and the family members of the victims and my heartfelt prayers will continue for all that are affected by this tragedy,” Bisset wrote.
Veltman is accused of driving his truck onto the sidewalk, hitting a family of five, which lead to the death of four members of the family and left one young boy in hospital. Veltman is facing four counts of first-degree murder and one count of attempted murder.
