The Ontario Liberal Party have named their candidate in the Huron Bruce riding.
Shelley Blackmore was acclaimed during a virtual meeting.
Blackmore resides in Howick Township and has worked as a teacher in the Perth County District School Board and as a principal in the Avon Maitland District School.
She has also served on the Board of Directors of the Huron Perth Centre for Youth and Children, and as Chair of the North Perth Community Committee, championing the development of a Social Services Hub in North Perth.
Huron-Bruce Provincial Liberal Association President Ian Burbidge said in a statement that they are very excited to have Shelley as their candidate, and she looks forward to speaking with members of the community about the issues that matter to them.
Blackmore is expected to challenge Tory incumbent Lisa Thompson in next year’s Provincial election.
