The University of Western Ontario and its affiliated colleges Brescia(BRESH-a), Huron and King’s released news this week that they will require proof of COVID-19 vaccination for students, staff and faculty, as part of a new policy to further protect the campus community.
The move came following the University’s consultation with public health partners and faculty experts in medicine, law and ethics.
Students without proof of vaccination must be tested twice a week in order to be on campus.
This stems off Western already requiring students in residency to be vaccinated.
This week’s decision has been endorsed by the Middlesex-London Health Unit.
