The United Way Perth-Huron have reached over 50 per cent of their annual campaign goal, now having hit just over $1 million. The money goes right back into the community, to their over 50 partners within the area that they support.
Ryan Erb, Executive Director of the United Way Perth-Huron says that they are hopeful that people keep them in mind during the holiday season.
They are also gearing up for their 3rd annual Coldest Night of the Year walk on February 26th, where they are asking walkers to raise money that will go towards homelessness and housing in the area. Walkers will follow a 2 or 5km route on the 26th, and all walkers who raise over $150 will get a toque.
