It’s Volunteer Appreciation day here on 90.5 myFM and we’d like to highlight someone who is a vital part to the Grand Bend Holiday Celebrations.
Mary Jo Schottroff Snopko started the Jingle Bells Group 10 years ago with her parents when the town stopped putting up the over head lights.
The Jingle Bells Group is a group of people who volunteer their time to make Grand Bend a merry and cheerful place in the dreary winter months.
Years ago, Grand Bend stopped putting the overhead lights up during the Holiday times. It didn’t feel as cheerful as it once did.
Mary Jo has seen the Jingle Bells group evolve into the huge part of the community it is now. With growth, comes more holiday cheer.

A big thank you goes out to Mary Jo and all the other volunteers in our community who make it a great place to live!
