Happening Tonight at the Co-op building by the Soccer Field off of Wellington Street in Exeter; the Exeter Fire Station along with Dashwood, Zurich and Hensall will be doing some training that’s a little different than what their used to.
The stations will be using their portable water pump tanks to pump water to their fire trucks.
The reasoning for the training to so if there is a rural fire with no hydrants around, the stations can work together to pump water efficiently to the trucks to diminish the fire.
District Fire Chief Of the Exeter Fire Station Jeff Musser also says the training will be useful for new recruits.
The public is allowed to watch this unusual training event. Musser expects to be set up at 7:15pm and pumping water for an hour.
