The United Way of Perth Huron launched their annual campaign last week.
This year’s goal is $2.289 million.
myFM spoke with Executive Director Ryan Erb about the goal, and he says the need is great locally.
Audio PlayerThe United Way is already at 13 % of their goal thanks to early donors.
They are launching a Community Renewal Company which will focus on housing.
The United Way is also encouraging businesses to become living wage employers.
All the funds raised locally stay locally, and go towards addressing the
#UNIGNORABLE issues such as homelessness, mental health and access to services.
