Michael Compton, 18, of Stratford pleaded guilty to the stabbing of 27-year-old Zachary Hartman of Exeter and could be seeing close to 10 years behind bars.
Back in May, the two men got in a fight near a popular bar after drinking. The situation escalated and Compton stabbed Hartman in the chest and fled.
Compton, along with Evan Radtke, 22, of Stratford and Madison Hicks, 21-year-old of Mitchell, were pulled over by Perth OPP roughly 90 minuets later.
All three were charged at the time. Since Compton pleaded guilty, the charges against Radtke and Hicks were dropped.
The case was adjourned to March to get a pre-sentence report. A decade in prison seems likely.
