The Dublin Community Centre Park Washrooms will be getting an upgrade.
The Municipality of West Perth received a grant of $38,200 from the Ontario Trillium Foundation and contributions from the Dublin Lions Club.
The upgraded washrooms will have one accessible washroom, one standard washroom, 1 water bottle refill station along with equipment storage.
The park’s existing washrooms were condemned by municipal staff in 2019.
“This investment by the Ontario Trillium Foundation contributing to the renovation of these washroom facilities is great news,” said Darcey Cook, Recreation and Facilities Manager for the Municipality of West Perth. “Many in the community will benefit from this upgrade, and it ensures that the park and pavilion amenities remain accessible for all.”
The Municipality of West Perth has wanted to upgrade the facility for a number of years, in partnership with the Dublin Lions Club. However, due to the nature of the project and the cost of the upgrade, the project was put on hold; until now.
The exact date the project will start is unclear, but it will happen this year.
