The ongoing investments into Ontario parks will be supporting Pinery Provincial Park to make some big developments.
The Ontario government is investing $827,000 to revitalize the four cabins the Park maintains. This comes as part of a $41.7 million investment over the next two years initiated by Ontario Parks.
Cabins are detailed with a queen and bunk bed, and are designed to hold five each to accompany a growth in visitors Ontario Parks reported in 2022. They reported that over 21.5 million visitors stayed at parks and overnight camping grew by nine per cent in 2021.
MPP Monte McNaughton says this investment will make sure the cabins last visitors along the shores of Lake Huron for years to come.
