We’re just entering strawberry season, and what better way to commemorate it than by enjoying some fresh local strawberries at Good neighbours of Bluewater’s strawberry social?
Secretary of Good Neighbours of Bluewater Phyllis Ramer says this particular event is really special,
You can drop in, see some friendly faces, maybe meet someone new, and enjoy some local strawberries with fresh cake and cream – all completely free.
Ramer says that the community building is always her favourite thing about any event with Good Neighbours,
When asked why it’s important to build community bonds, Ramer didn’t hesitate:
She also says that they would love to open the doors on Goshen Street more often, but that it takes volunteers. If you’d like to go check out Good Neighbour’s Strawberry Social, congratulate them on an entire year of service to the community, and maybe consider volunteering, join them on Thursday, June 29th from 4-7pm.
