The Exeter Sesquicentennial Celebrations are coming up next week, and the occasion should be fun for the entire family.
Chair of the Exeter Heritage Foundation Bob Heywood said that they couldn’t let the 150th anniversary pass by unnoticed,
He also says that there will be something for everyone at the event, from Thursday June 29th, to Sunday July 2nd, the celebrations will include a string of live music, a parade, heritage displays, walking tours, fireworks and more.
Heywood says that the establishment of the town was one of commerce,
He says that the aspect of the celebrations that he’s most excited about includes a heritage display at the legion that will feature many pieces of local history.
Although the event will be of special interest to history buffs, Heywood says that everyone should be proud of the rich history that Exeter has,
To join in on the celebrations, you can purchase advance tickets for many events by stopping in at their office on weekdays – located next to the Center for Employment and Learning on Main Street, or you can order them online.
