Drayton Entertainment and Huron Country Playhouse are bringing Broadway to our own back yard.
“Kinky Boots” featuring music and lyrics by Cyndi Lauper, promises to be a sentimental and brassy production that tackles themes of overcoming prejudice and embracing individuality.

Kinky Boots revolves around Charlie, who inherits a struggling shoe factory after his father’s passing. Determined to save the business, Charlie forms an unlikely partnership with Lola, a cabaret drag queen.
Through their journey, the musical explores themes of acceptance, finding one’s calling, and challenging societal stereotypes.
He says that “Kinky Boots” features some of Canada’s finest talents, reminding theatergoers of the privilege they have to enjoy exceptional theater right in their own backyard,
The importance of the shared experience of theater resonates deeply with Mustakas,
“Kinky Boots” will run at the Playhouse from July 12th to 29th before moving on to Cambridge from August 3rd to 20th.
