The 56th Annual Zurich Bean Festival is just around the corner – and visitors will likely outnumber locals ten to one throughout the weekend.
The festivities kick off on Friday night with a dazzling vintage car cruise featuring over 700 cars, and live entertainment at the street dance.
Saturday is when the real magic happens. The day starts with a delicious breakfast at the arena, throughout the day the streets are packed with local handicrafts and vendors, and food trucks serve everything from mouthwatering bean dishes cotton candy.
According to Committee Member Heidi Klopp, what makes the Zurich Bean Festival special is that it’s a display of community collaboration,
The festival will welcome all locals, but is special to those that call the community home,
If you’re looking to catch up with friends, both old and new, the licensed area will be the place to be. And for the little ones, the midway will be open all day, offering endless excitement and laughter.
Klopp says that the event is always growing and changing, and she’s excited to see what they bring to the table this year,
Zurich proudly boasts the title of “White Bean Capital of Canada,” and the festival’s dedication to beans is a tribute to the local economy that keeps the town thriving. It’s a time to show respect and appreciation for the humble bean and its vital role in shaping the community.
