Huron County Economic Development is all set to host a Succession Planning Workshop called “Finding Fairness in Farm Transition” on November 16th, which will empower local farmers to navigate the intricacies of succession planning.

The workshop’s keynote speaker, Elaine Froese, brings a wealth of knowledge to the table, alongside her podcasts and books – providing invaluable insights into the intricate world of succession planning.
The workshop promises to demystify the often-intimidating topic of succession planning – and Lass says that this is a conversation that should involve a variety of professionals, beyond farmers,

Lass detailed the array of resources available, including transition planning resources provided by the FCC, mental health support avenues through various organizations, and practical tools like OMAFRA’s succession planning checklist and guide.
According to Lass, economic development and support for small businesses and entrepreneurs really go hand in hand,
