Perth OPP is teaming up with the Stratford Police Service to host a ‘Cops for Cancer’ event on Saturday, (September 30th, 2023), at the Army, Navy, Airforce Club in Stratford.
From 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the event will be open for everyone to come together and raise funds that will fuel new discoveries in pediatric cancer research. Every dollar raised will go towards initiatives like sending 600 kids each year to Camp Goodtimes, providing vital support services such as counseling, and advocating for the improvement of children’s lives affected by cancer.
Officers from both the Perth OPP and Stratford PS will be shaving their heads in exchange for donations.
But that’s not all; attendees can enjoy a delicious BBQ and try their luck at the raffle table.
For those curious about police vehicles, the event will have several on display, including cruisers, specialty vehicles, and even an OPP motorcycle and helicopter.
This ‘Cops for Cancer’ event promises a day of community bonding, fun, and most importantly, a chance to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children battling cancer.
Everyone is encouraged to attend, and if you can’t make it in person, you can still show your support by visiting the fundraising page for Perth County OPP and Stratford PS on the Canadian Cancer Society’s website. Let’s come together and make a difference in the fight against childhood cancer.
