An investigation led by the Huron-Perth Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crimes Unit (CSCU), Grey-Bruce Community Street Crimes Unit (CSCU), West Region Emergency Response Team (ERT), and members of the Huron OPP has resulted in the confiscation of illicit drugs, cash, and property associated with offenses, collectively valued at over $7,000.
On Thursday, September 28th, an individual was arrested in the Municipality of Bluewater as part of a drug trafficking inquiry.
A search warrant was executed at a residence on MacTavesh Street in Bluewater, leading to the apprehension of a second individual.
The investigation led to the seizure of a quantity of suspected cocaine, alongside digital scales, packaging materials, cellular phones, and a sum of Canadian currency.
The combined estimated worth of the seized drugs is $700, while the total estimated value of the confiscated property is $6,390.
As a result, a 41 year old from Arthur, Wellington North Township and a 37 year old from Bluewater are both facing charges including Trafficking in a Schedule I substance (Cocaine).

The accused underwent processing, was held for a bail hearing, and subsequently remanded into custody with a court appearance scheduled for October 23rd, 2023, in the Goderich Ontario Court of Justice.
