Farm Credit Canada has announced $1.5 million of funding through its AgriSpirit Fund.
The fund is set to benefit 86 community groups throughout Canada,, with a specific focus on cities, towns, and Indigenous communities with populations of fewer than 150,000 people.
Locally, within our region, several initiatives have been selected to receive funding from the FCC AgriSpirit Fund. Notable projects include:
- The Municipality of Bluewater – They will receive $22,500 to upgrade the community center’s front entrance, enhancing accessibility and installing LED lighting.
- The Municipality of Huron East – They have been granted $17,000 to purchase and install exterior windows and make accessibility improvements to the main washroom at the community center.
- The Municipality of Central Huron – They will receive $13,500 to purchase a dryer for Personnel Protective Equipment for the fire department.
Over the past 20 years, the FCC AgriSpirit Fund has successfully backed 1,615 projects, with a total investment of $21 million.
