Today marks the kick-off of the Tim Hortons Holiday Smile Cookie Campaign.
Angie Steckle Fund Development Coordinator with Big Brothers Big Sister of South Huron says that the funds from the cookies will support local programs for kids.
Every cookie purchased from now until Sunday will help support these local causes.
Steckle expressed her enthusiasm, highlighting the misconception that their services are limited to Exeter, when in reality, they cover a vast geographic area.
When asked about their goals with the funds, Steckle says that they’re always looking to offer their services to more children and families that need them.
Steckle also shared the overwhelming support from the community, citing the recent success of the Harvesting Hope event and a continuous influx of volunteers.
The collaboration with Tim Hortons showcases a community-driven effort to make a positive impact. The franchises’ owners recognized the value of Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Huron and are even inviting volunteers to participate in cookie decoration, further strengthening community bonds.
