
The COVID-19 outbreak at Stratford General Hospital, part of the Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance (HPHA), has officially ended, as declared by Huron Perth Public Health.
Initially declared on December 29th, on the Inpatient Unit – Level 3, precautions were taken, including testing for patients.
Following the outbreak’s conclusion, the Inpatient Unit – Level 3 has reopened for admissions and transfers, and Family and Caregiver Presence on the Unit has been restored.
Regarding masks, their use is mandatory in all clinical areas of HPHA hospital sites, including inpatient units, emergency departments, outpatient clinics, imaging, labs, and waiting rooms.
Medical-grade masks are provided at entrances and various masking stations throughout the sites.
