One person faces charges after a crash in Middlesex Centre.
On January 24, just after 6pm, Middlesex OPP responded to a collision on Highbury Avenue.
They received a report of a driver leaving the scene after colliding with a tow truck that was towing a disabled vehicle.
The tow truck driver stopped to exchange information, but the other driver fled and was later found in a ditch on Clarke Road.
As a result, a 27-year-old from Lucan has been charged with failing to remain and careless driving.
The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Provincial Traffic Court at a later date.
In Ontario, it’s the responsibility of the driver involved in a collision to remain at the scene, provide assistance, and exchange information.
Police must be notified if there are injuries, the combined damage exceeds $2,000, or there is property damage.
