Former owner of the chain of restaurants “The Hub” with locations in Bayfield, Mitchell, Seaforth, Lucan and Stratford is facing fraud charges after surrendering to authorities earlier this week.
Kevin Larson now faces a series of serious charges, including nine counts of fraud.
The charges reportedly stem from an ongoing police investigation that began in February 2023. Larson was released from custody on an undertaking following his surrender to Stratford police. This isn’t the first legal trouble for Larson, as he previously faced a fraud charge in April 2023.
Larson was also the owner of Larson Properties Partnership, Cooper Development Inc., and Larson Financial Solutions. In a separate legal matter in 2022, Ontario’s highest court upheld a decision that compelled Larson to pay over half a million dollars to a local builder for breach of contract and trust.
Larson is scheduled to appear in court to address the recent charges on March 4, 2024.
If you have concerns related to your dealings with Larson, authorities recommend contacting the Stratford police for assistance.
